After some permit challenges and a wet start, the pace is picking up at the 50-acre Lakeview Hospital site in Stillwater, Minnesota. Kraus-Anderson made the decision in early Spring to make Frattalone Companies their trusted partner on the six-story, 400,000 SF hospital and clinic.
Tom Larson and crew are busy leading the way on the approximately 300,000 CY mass grade to re-shape the site, which is situated at Highway 36 & Manning Avenue. In addition to the 40,000 CY soil correction required to prep the building pad, other unique aspects of the work includes approximately 1,500 LF combined foundation walls scheduled to receive
lightweight backfill materials (Tire Derived Aggregate, TDA, and Geofoam) and a number pond installations covering a combined 4 acres.
Meanwhile, Ryan Guslander and crew is busy working in concert with Tom and the site grading crew to weave together over 2,000 LF sanitary sewer, 5,000 LF water main, and 10,000 LF storm sewer. Gus’ planning and execution, position the crew to complete installations on the site’s north end prior to the arrival of the site’s two tower cranes and ramp-up of footing and foundation work. When complete in late 2027, the site will leverage over five acres of wetlands, other green areas, trails, and common areas to connect with and blend into the surrounding neighborhood. The new Lakeview Hospital will offer a wider range of services including a specialized family birth center, cancer care, and improved emergency and critical care services.
