Lansing Ash Pond Outfall

The Lansing project involved the construction of a new outfall for an ash settlement pond at the Lansing Generating Station, located in Lansing, IA. The project included installation of new HDPE discharge pipe from the Upper Ash Pond to the Mississippi River, placement of a precast concrete panel into the existing weir box structure, construction of a new cast-in-place outfall control structure, jack and boring below an active railroad track, installation of manholes, flow monitoring, and sampling equipment.
